Simple lesson really. Developers shouldn’t dump on other games, otherwise they may step in it themselves.
I would actually appreciate if Mark Jacobs would go over the finer points of MMORPG design with critical highlights on what he felt worked or didn’t within other games. But it’s the broad statements he makes that end up smelly on his shoe later.
So many people were enamored of Mark and Paul, yet I kept feeling the air was smelling of BS.
Vindication is sweet.
